The end of 2012 saw a flurry of pre- production rehearsing, jamming and arranging. Off to Sardinia to record with virtuoso guitar player Roberto Diane meant being more organised than usual… which is not very.
A week was well spent in Sardinia laying down the bulk of the album along with Outis Smith (keys /vocals), Christian Marras (bass/ guitar) and Enrico Sotgiu (percussion/cahon). This was continued a couple of weeks later when Robbie popped over for a gig in London’s Corinthia Hotel.
It was in the hands of the mixers and now it is ready! You can expect announcements about the launch tour, pre-ordering and of course a few tasters which I have put below. Enjoy and let me know what you think.
“If a nightingale ever sings in Glasgow’s George Square, I’ll bet it sounds just like Anna MacDonald.” S4M (shout for music)
Paper flowers was released late 2011 an EP recorded and produced by Fraser Fifield . It also benefited from the playing of Mike Vass, Stephen Graham and Suzanne Houston. It featured the hugely popular ‘Naj’s Song’ written for a good friend heading off on travels. Have a listen on the link below.
On 17th October 2010, Anna MacDonald released her EP of new and old songs, as well as traditional Scottish songs. The player below will give a taster of that EP and links where a purchase can be made.
